Structure

The structure of the Royal Canadian Legion consists of three levels:

1. Dominion Command
2. Provincial Commands:

BC - Yukon	Alberta - NWT	Saskatchewan
Manitoba- NW Ontario	Ontario	New Brunswick
Prince Edward Island	Nova Scotia - Nunavut	Newfoundland - Labrador
Quebec

3. Branches – Over 180 Branches in Alberta - NWT
Alberta- NWT Command Council
The Alberta – NWT Command Executive Council members are elected for a two year term at a Command Convention with the exception of the Command Secretary/Chief Administrative Officer, a staff member. The Council is made up of:
• President
• Immediate Past President
• 1st Vice President
• 3 - Vice Presidents of equal status
• Treasurer
• Chairman
• Command Secretary/Chief Administrative Officer ( non voting)
• Honorary Solicitor
• 9 District Commanders
• 1 member of Tuberculosis Veterans Section
The Council does the administrative work of the Command as determined by Provincial Convention and By-Laws.

Standing Committees appointed by The Command President report to the Command Executive Council. The Committees are:
• Membership
• Membership Participation Sports
• Lotteries and Gaming
• Financial Advisory
• Constitution and Laws
• Leadership and Development
• Youth
• Track and Field
• Public Relations
• Honours and Awards
• Seniors and Veterans Services
• And other committees that may be approved at a Command Convention
